The Harriett Wright-French Foundation is a private foundation focused on supporting increased opportunity and youth engagement for grades K-12 in the community. Harriett Wright-French believed in the importance of education and living a life of service to others. The Foundation was created in 2020 by Ariana and Ariele French in honor of their late grandmother, Harriett Wright-French.
The Harriett Wright-French Foundation honors the legacy of Harriett Wright-French, a pillar in the Birmingham, Alabama community where she lived her entire life. Mrs. Wright-French had a gift of service that guided her through her life. She regularly visited the women’s homeless shelter where she helped serve food as well as share the word of God. She also organized Wright Connection’s Thanksgiving projects, which included giving coats, gloves, and food to the homeless.
